Meet the Editors
ACM editors and publishers Letty Fox and Rianna Macdougall have been part of Australia's cheerleading community for over six years. Their partnership began in 2007 when they met in Melbourne to discuss the concept of a cheerleading magazine in Australia whilst also co-raising a successful competitive cheerleading squad at RMIT University.
Letty now owns a successful cheerleading school in Melbourne: Wildfire Cheerleading, which she manages in addition to her finance career. Letty studied journalism at Griffith University (GC), where she was editor of Australia's largest student magazine 'Getamungstit'. She also developed a cheerleading community newsletter 'Cheer Connection', and edited the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) newsletter.
Rianna is an acomplished athlete with experience in competitive and professional cheerleading, coaching and choreography. She has a masters degree in Organisational Communication and a degree in Science majoring in communication. She works as a freelance journalist, photographer and public affairs officer. Rianna founded Army Cheerleading and currently runs Sirens Cheerleaders in Townsville and Canberra. She has recently returned from the World Cheerleading Championships where she competed with Team Australia.
Before they met, the enthusiastic pair dreamt of combining their passions for cheerleading and media into a magazine. Their complimentary skill sets and strong relationship have enabled them to create Australia's only resource just for cheerleaders and all star dancers. With Australian Cheerleader Magazine, Letty and Rianna aim to unite Australia's cheerleading community and represent cheerleaders as the enthusiastic and professional athletes they are.
